Si tratta infatti del primo acquisto che la Cassa di Risparmio fece nel 1924 per dar inizio alla propria collezione.<br \/>\nLa tavola, nelle sue modeste dimensioni, era certamente destinata a qualche altare di devozione privata. Mariotto fu uno degli ultimi interpreti del clima Tardogotico fiorentino.
